Bored in the USA

I'm already running out of ideas again to write in this blog. Uh-oh... that's never a good sign. I'd like to toss in a couple of links I found whilst wandering the web and other people's blogs out there.

The first is the South Park Studio, where you can create your own likeness within the cartoon world of the four wise men -- Stan, Kyle, Kenny & Cartman. I'll put my own up in here... as soon as I can figure out how. But it's a well-done & fun site to kill some time with.

The other is called SCIgen. It is an online site at MIT where some graduate students developed a computer program that generates a Computer Science paper complete with everything... everything, that is, except substance. It is a completely context-free paper. They even submitted a couple of these generated papers to WMSCI, which stands for... well, it'd take up too much bandwidth to type it. One of these papers even got accepted! Of course, they backpedaled when they found out it was a hoax. But congrats to Jeremy Stribling, Max Krohn and Dan Aguayo for stickin' one to the intellectual bureaucracy!

Vive le pensée créative!!
