Well, I guess this would mark the one-year anniversary of this blog. Yay me! I admit I wasn't as faithful with this in 2004 as I could've been. Just never had much to say I suppose. But much as a roller coaster reaches its first peak before plummeting into the ride, so have I hit the point of release... I hope.
My march towards an acting career goes ever onward. I went to my first improv class on Sunday. Quite enjoyable and something I would recommend to anyone, actor or not, who has interest in this form. There are several in my class who've never acted. They're as fun to watch as the veterans, and for the same reasons!
An old friend of mine made quite a sacrifice this weekend. She freely donated her time (AND her hair) to raise money for St Baldrick's, a charity that supports research into childhood cancer. It's a good cause and one hell of a funny way to raise money in support. Check out the site & see if there is an event near you or how to organize one so that you can channel that overwhelming desire to shave someone bald in a productive use. In either case, you can also see an example of the shaving here. Rock on, Sinead-- er, I mean, Christina!
I might even dare to give it a shot next year... especially if I start losing my hair at a faster rate. :-p
